Week 2 Day 3

Love” can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes that ranges from interpersonal affection. It can refer to an emotion of a strong attraction and personal attachment.  It can also be a virtue representing human kindness, compassion, and affection—”the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another”.  As well, it may describe compassionate and affectionate actions towards other humans, one’s self or animals.

In the Bible:

“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.  If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails.”  1 Corinthians 13: 1 – 8

“There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved.”
– George Sand-

Sometimes it can leave you broken and sometimes it can put all the pieces of you, together!

“Love, like a river, will cut a new path whenever it meets an obstacle.”
-Crystal Middlemas-

  • Some say that Love doesn’t exist anymore.
  • That is a fantasy created in our heads.
  • That is a chemical reaction in our brain.

But I truly believe that love is the answer that we spend all our lives seeking!  Love is what can fill the emptiness inside us.  Love is what keep us awake, and what make us dream.  Love is the answer…all we have to do is let it show.  We have to show that we love each other!  Just the way God love us!

And the songs say:

“Love is strong yet delicate.  It can be broken.
To truly love is to understand this.
To be in love is to respect this.”
